RIP Elmore Leonard, author of “Out of Sight—a great book and one of my favorite movies. There are differences here and there between the book and the screenplay, but unlike some movies, which diverge wildly from the original material, this one was pretty on mark. And that’s proof of what a great storyteller Leonard was. This scene—and the one where Foley and Sisco reunite in the bar in Detroit—are just perfect.
"No I’m just gonna sit here, take it easy, and wait for you to screw up."
“He’s very special. He’s an invention. The closest thing I could find to that was the fallen angel. The fallen angel believes in the beauty of the darkness. That is so incomprehensible to us, we can’t understand it, and so we’re attracted to it. So I wasn’t reading textbooks about mental disease, I was imagining how it was to be Satan.”
